SUMMARY:First Thursday Films: The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete
DESCRIPTION:The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete is a coming-of-age story about two inner city boys who are left to fend for themselves over the summer after their mothers are taken away by the authorities. The film stars Anthony Mackie\, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje\, Jennifer Hudson\, Jordin Sparks\, and Jeffrey Wright. Director: George Tillman Jr. \n\n\nCome for the movie. How a Brooklyn Park dad went from self-taught screenwriter with nary a Hollywood leg to stand on to the go-to writer for Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick’s new BFF\, by Drew Wood\, Minneapolis St Paul Magazine. \n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n \nBe @ the movies! Noteworthy films with good conversation that follows each screening on the first Thursday of every month. The series is presented by MSP Film\, the Capri\, and the Minnesota Historical Society
