The Capri Advisory Council plays a vital role in guiding the Capri Theater’s efforts to remain a dynamic and inclusive arts venue in North Minneapolis. Composed of a diverse group of community leaders, artists, and cultural advocates, the Council provides essential insights and advice to ensure the Capri continues to meet the needs of the Northside community while staying connected to the broader cultural landscape of Minneapolis.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the Capri Advisory Council is to offer thoughtful and informed guidance to the Capri’s leadership in all areas related to programming, community impact, and long-term strategic planning. The Council helps to ensure that the Capri remains not only a space for artistic expression but also a place that truly reflects the values and needs of the community it serves. The Council’s contributions help the Capri stay relevant, responsive, and impactful for generations to come.
Role
Council members engage with Capri leadership on an ongoing basis, participating in monthly meetings to provide feedback on programming, partnerships, and public initiatives. - Explore funding and development opportunities.
- Build connections with local organizations and residents.
