Accessibility

The Capri is committed to accessibility for everyone.

  • For visitors who have mobility disabilities:

    The Capri Theater has accessible wheelchair and companion seating available.

    Seating Assistance for Capri and Partner Events: including Legends at the Capri, CAST, SPCO, Capri Glee!, Camp Capri, and First Thursday Films at the Capri: please contact Jordan Flaherty, jflaherty@pcyc-mpls.org, 612-643-2040.

    Seating Assistance for Rental Events: The Capri rents space to organizations and individuals throughout the year. If you’re attending a rental event, please contact the rental event contact person listed on the Capri website for assistance. If you need further assistance, please contact Jordan Flaherty, jflaherty@pcyc-mpls.org, 612-643-2040.

    Stages: The Capri Theater stage is fully accessible. Accessibility to stages constructed for events in the Community Hall will vary.

    Elevators/Second Floor: The second floor of the Capri is accessible using the elevators located in the immediate proximity of the main entrance and the stage door.  (Theater seating is on the main floor.)

    Restrooms: The restrooms at the Capri are ADA-compliant.

    Metro Mobility: If you are using Metro Mobility, please alert our staff prior to the show. They will contact you in the theater if your van arrives early or will stay inside the building with you if your ride arrives late.

  • For visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing:

    Assistive listening devices for Capri performances and rental events can be provided. We can also arrange for American Sign Language interpreters. Please contact Jordan Flaherty in advance of the performance you wish to attend to arrange for this service:  jflaherty@pcyc-mpls.org, 612-643-2040.

  • For visitors who are blind or have low vision:

    The Capri can arrange for Audio Description services and materials in alternative print formats upon request, with 14 days’ notice prior to the performance you wish to attend. Please contact Jordan Flaherty to make these arrangements:  jflaherty@pcyc-mpls.org, 612-643-2040.

  • Location, Parking and Transportation:

    The Capri Theater is located at 2027 West Broadway in Minneapolis, one block east from the intersection of West Broadway and Penn Avenue North. The entrance to the Capri, located at the center of the building on West Broadway, is wheelchair accessible.

    ADA-compliant parking is available in the parking lot to the west of NEON Collective Kitchens, which is directly west of the Capri.  See our Parking page.

    There is a Metro Transit bus stop 1/2 block west of the Capri entrance.  Metro Transit
