Sneaker Ball: A Celebration for Threads Dance Nexus Youth Dance Project
Threads Dance Project is excited to announce its annual Fall fundraiser, Sneaker Ball, benefitting the NexGen/Youth Dance Project (YDP). Sneaker Ball offers a fun and festive way to support Threads. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite sneakers or shoes, and the evening will feature live performances from Threads company members and YDP students, a DJ, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and more.
Proceeds from the event will directly support scholarships, removing financial barriers for low-income and BIPOC students to participate in the NexGen/Youth Dance Project. These funds will also help Threads Dance Project continue its mission of connecting communities through dance.
YDP offers rigorous dance training that addresses the challenges young people face today, both inside and outside the studio. Under the guidance of Threads’ professional staff and health experts, the program provides trauma-informed instruction that empowers students to become fully realized dancers, creators, and community activists.
