Join us for the 32nd Annual Black Master Storytellers Festival, “Signifyin’ & Testifyin'” Liars Contest!
This is a family-friendly, open-to-the-public event with Gran’Daddy June Bug from Whispering Pines, North Carolina handling the Master of Ceremonies duties!
We invite youth and adults to tell their best Tall Tale to win a trophy. All Tall Tales must be family-friendly, no profanity /vulgarity and within the 5 minute time span.
This is an opportunity for everybody to demonstrate their ability to get the audience involved – and almost swallowing that “You see, what had happened was…” funny story that had folks falling out their seats laughing at your creativity!
Black Storytellers Alliance (BSA) has 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies in both the youth and adult categories. (2019 winners in photo, above.)
Now, we should also mention that we plan to add the names of the winners to our Aesop Cup that we plan to place in the Smithsonian Institute!
