10am – 5pm
FREE
We invite you to visit the Capri to learn about our history and our amazing spaces. As a community hub and cultural arts center in North Minneapolis, we offer space to create, learn, perform, and experience every form of art. We are proud to participate in Doors Open Minneapolis , inviting you to take a tour of our beautifully restored 1927 theater and our recent state-of-the-art expansion. Whether you are an architecture fan or a history seeker, this is your chance to walk the same stage where Prince performed his first solo shows! Saturday only.

Want to see the Capri Theater in action? Time your visit to see a film and live music double feature on May 9 at 3pm. This event pairs Saint-Saëns’ humorous Carnival of the Animals with Georges Méliès’ iconic 1902 silent film, A Trip to the Moon, featuring a live ensemble, narration by MPR’s Michael Barone, and a new score by Christa Rübsam. Enhanced by dazzling lights and projections, this multi-sensory experience is open to all ages with tickets starting at $5.72. Learn more HERE.
