The 8th Season of First Thursday Films @ the Capri opens with TILL, the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley’s relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who was brutally lynched in 1955 while visiting his cousins in Mississippi.
The film is directed by Chinonye Chukwu and stars Danielle Deadwyler and Jalyn Hall.
After the film, please stay for the conversation with special guest, James Curry. Curry is a producer, director, writer, editor, and instructor at Augsburg University. Active in the industry for over 25 years, he has worked on numerous projects in Los Angeles and Minneapolis ranging from trailers, commercials, PSA’s, epk’s and music videos, as well as broadcast for NBC, FOX, and ABC.
