Get ready to swing back in time! 🎵 The Cotton Club’s legendary vibe comes alive at the Capri with an unforgettable weekend of jazz and entertainment featuring the Wolverines Jazz Trio (Rick Carlson, Jendeen Forberg and Steve Pikal) with vocalists Judi Vinar and Dennis Spears. The Cotton Club was Harlem’s premier nightclub in the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s, and it was where many of the greatest African American entertainers of the era, including Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, and Ethel Waters performed. You’ll hear the Wolverines, Judi and Dennis evoke their memories, and sing legendary songs from the era like It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing, Mack the Knife, Unforgettable, and many more.
