The Red Light House is launching our biannual Short Film Fest “Queering Cinema” featuring LGBTQ+ filmmakers in and around the Twin Cities!
The first show will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Capri Theater in North Minneapolis.

Submission Deadline; Sunday, January 4th
We believe that “Queering Cinema” isn’t just about showing films with Queer people in them, but presenting a platform for Queer people to tell their stories, their way. We do not require the filmmakers to submit films that are specifically about Queerness, but we do require that each maker is from, lives, or works in Minnesota, and identifies as LGBTQ+. We hope that these events will connect Queer filmmakers and Queer audience members alike.
