“Thugs: The Criminalization of Black Youth” is a documentary exploring the control of Black people through racially profiled arrests and incarceration, essentially modern-day slavery, or the “New Jim Crow,” and the role it plays on Black youth across the country. This documentary will also feature Myon Burrell’s story, a man who falsely accused of murder at age 16 and was imprisoned for 18 years in Minnesota.
